Terms

What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated 5 August 2026.

This page covers BSK View, the app at app.bskview.com. Our website at bskview.com has its own separate terms, which covers the website only.

Still being finished

The sections below marked to be confirmed are with our solicitor. They cover who is responsible when something goes wrong, and we would rather say that plainly than publish wording we made up. Everything else on this page describes how BSK View works today.

Who you are agreeing with

BSK View is provided by Tavern Creative Ltd, trading as Business Sorted Kent. When these terms say “we” they mean that company. When they say “you” they mean the business that holds the account.

Using BSK View means accepting these terms, our privacy notice and the data processing agreement described below.

Your trial

A new workspace starts with a 14 day trial. It does not need a card, nothing renews on its own, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.

When a trial ends without a plan, the workspace becomes read-only. Your data stays exactly where it is and you can still open and download all of it. Pick a plan and everything works again straight away.

Paying for it

Current prices are on the plan screen inside the app, under Settings. We do not repeat them here, because a price on a legal page goes out of date and then the page is wrong.

All our prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout. You can pay monthly or yearly, and yearly is cheaper per month.

Payments are taken by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over a few days and your workspace keeps working while it does; we will email you.

We can change our prices. If we do, we will tell you before it affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept the new price.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the plan screen. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

Cancelling does not delete anything. Your workspace becomes read-only: everything stays readable and downloadable, and quotes and invoices you have already sent still work for the people you sent them to. What stops is creating and changing records.

You can take a full copy of your data at any time, before or after cancelling, from Settings under Your data. See the privacy notice for how long we keep things afterwards.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break the law, to send email to people who have not agreed to it, or in a way that damages the service for other clients. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you the chance to put it right.

Your data, and the agreement that covers it

The records you keep in BSK View are yours. We hold them so the software works, and we act on your instructions.

Data protection law requires that arrangement to be written down as a contract, and a privacy notice does not count. Our data processing agreement sets out what we do with your customers’ information, the companies we rely on, how we keep it secure and what happens to it when you leave. It forms part of these terms and you accept it when you create an account.

Not yet published. The data processing agreement is being finalised with our solicitor and will be available here, and shown at signup, when it is. Until then this page is the best description of what we do, and the privacy notice covers it in detail. Ask us if you need something in writing sooner.

Sending email through us

BSK View sends email on your behalf, from your own address at bskview.com for things like quotes and invoices, and from bsksend.com for marketing.

Marketing email is the part with rules attached, and they matter to everybody rather than just to you. Every client sends from the same domain, so one bad mailing list makes email less likely to arrive for every other client, including ones doing everything right.

So, when you send marketing:

  • Only to people who have agreed to hear from you. You are responsible for that consent and for being able to show it.
  • Never to a bought or scraped list.
  • Unsubscribes are honoured automatically and cannot be turned off. An address that unsubscribes, bounces or reports spam is suppressed and we will not send to it again.

We may stop your sending if it is damaging delivery for other clients.

Prospect Finder

Where your plan includes it, Prospect Finder searches the Companies House public register and can look at businesses’ own published websites. It finds businesses, not consumers.

What you do with what it finds is yours. Contacting a business you have found is your decision and your responsibility, including following the rules on marketing and honouring anybody who asks you to stop.

Asking us to build something

The Requests page inside the app is where you ask for a change, report a problem, or ask whether we can replace software you are paying for elsewhere.

Where a request needs work beyond the normal product, we will send you a proposal with a price. Nothing is charged unless you accept it, in the app, in as many words.

What we promise about availability

We work hard to keep BSK View running and we fix problems as fast as we can.

We do not offer an uptime guarantee, and we do not run a status page. We would rather say so than imply a commitment we have not made. If something is down, tell us and we will tell you what is happening.

We may need to take the service down occasionally for maintenance. We will give notice where we can.

What you agree not to do

  • Break the law with it, or help anybody else to.
  • Try to reach another client’s workspace, or to get around the limits of your own.
  • Upload anything harmful, or anything you do not have the right to hold.
  • Resell BSK View or give access to somebody outside your business without asking us.
  • Put so much load on it that it stops working properly for other people.

Who owns what

The software is ours. Your records, your files, your logo and your business content are yours, and using BSK View does not change that.

If you tell us how to make the product better, we may act on it without owing you anything for it. That is not us taking your idea; it is us being able to build a feature more than one client has asked for.

If something goes wrong

To be confirmed.

This section will set out what we are responsible for, what we are not, and the limits on both. It is being written with our solicitor rather than copied from somewhere, because it is the part that decides who bears the cost when something goes badly wrong, and a made-up number here would be worse than an honest gap.

What we can say now without a lawyer: we take backups, we keep each client’s data separated at the database level, and the data pack means you are never relying on us alone to have a copy of your records.

Changing these terms

We will update this page as the product changes. Where a change affects you meaningfully we will tell you before it takes effect, and the date at the top always says when the wording last changed.

Which law applies

To be confirmed.

These terms will be governed by the law of England and Wales. The exact wording, including how disputes are handled and what happens if you are a sole trader rather than a company, is with our solicitor.
